Open to the public in late June 2007, The Westin Auckland is a non-smoking boutique hotel on the waterfront of Viaduct Harbour. It boasts 172 rooms over five floors. This stretch of inner-city coastline has recently been transformed into a prime residential and business neighbourhood, with a high concentration of luxury marinas, cafés, bars, and restaurants. Tourists, international yachties, and locals are all part of the colourful mix. Surrounded by water on two sides and built around a central lagoon with a glass walkway linking the two wings, The Westin features a health spa with a full range of wellness and beauty treatments, heated lap pool, gym, sauna, spa tub, and steam room. Wireless Internet access is available across all public areas, and on the ground floor guests may make use of a small library of books, magazines, and newspapers. The hotel’s waterfront restaurant, café, and bar open onto wide public esplanades which face Viaduct and Lighter Quay marinas and the Westin’s Late Club presents an intimate nightclub setting for guests chasing the early hours or some live music. The hotel also offers a private dock for arriving yachts and water taxis.

The Westin Auckland is a boutique hotel comprising 172 guestrooms across the four floors above lobby level (floors 3–6). All guestrooms feature premium bedding in the form of the Westin-branded Heavenly Beds® with pillowtop mattresses, triple fine weave sheets, down blankets, duvets (comforters), and five goosedown/goose feather pillows. Bathrooms are configured with separate showers and baths, and are complemented by Westin Heavenly Baths® with therapeutic dual spa showerheads, showers with greater-than-average elbow room, oversized Brazilian combed cotton bath towels, and a selection of Bvlgari toiletries. Additional standard features include: step-out balconies, floor-to-ceiling windows, flat screen TVs with cable and pay movies, wireless and high speed Internet access (surcharge applies), multi-line telephones with voice mail, work desks, complimentary newspapers, bathrobes, and slippers. DVD and CD players are available upon request on a complimentary basis (security deposit required only). Hypo-allergenic bedding (blankets/pillows) is also available upon request. All guestrooms are non smoking.
